I can’t say I am fond of the layout. I would suspect that it is a result of the position of the layout image. For whatever reasons, the 90 degree rotation just doesn’t look right. The image is lacking a border, and it doesn’t bother with feathering into the content background. I like the background pattern, and the color scheme, but the overall layout gives me a feeling of being “dislocated”. It doesn’t look like much effort was put into the making process.

I like the layout (version 8.1). The colours are brilliant yet subtle. The style is simple and easy to navigate. Yet there are two things that stood out to me that didn’t work too well. First, the black and white horizontal brushes above the boys. I understand that it is used as a separator but to be honest, it isn’t working for me. All the space above the separator isn’t put to a lot of use. As a matter of fact, you seem to have a problem with making use of space, in general.

The layout is very interesting and unique. I’m not sure I agree with all the colors you’ve used, but I definitely like the concept. It is, however, a bit on the large side. I have a 1280 x 800 resolution and I still have to scroll down for the content. (Just imagine what it would be like for people who have smaller resolutions!) And when I do scroll down, I’m suddenly faced with CAPSLOCK! OH-MY-GOSH! It looks like your introduction is screaming at me. And… what is with the right-align of the text? Overall, I have mixed feelings.

The site has moved between the time Elusive was submitted for a review and the beginning of the review but yet no email was received to notify us of such. The courtesy would have been nice along with a link back as you did for the other WPR sites. (An email was received later on and a link was provided.) The site itself is very nice. Bright and colourful, and definitely gives visitors the impression that the graphics offered on this page must be similar quality as the site’s layout.
