I am not too fond of the splash page for a number of reasons. The website logo is not linked. The style of the font type makes the site subtitle look more like ‘Tbaditional Abtfolio’. The ‘Enter’ text is barely visible as it is squished on top of the site meter button. There are too many links on this page that is not necessary. It looks so unprofessional and much too similar to the work of a newbie (and I was there at one point in time). Despite the beautiful sketch, the rest of the page is a put off.

The layout feels inviting and summer-y. However, there are two things that stood out for me that made the layout less comforting. The first is the background. An interesting but contradicting layout. On the one hand, I like what I am seeing. The layout appears to be user friendly and more interesting are the colours used as they are not typically Kenshin colours. On the other hand, the size of the header and the horizontal orange/blue line across the middle of the header’s background and the shade of blue used for the menu links and the footer throws off whatever fondness I had.
